We build foundations, roads and infrastructure for new housing developments together with high rise, concrete frame buildings. About the programme
The Tamdown Group are offering an amazing opportunity for Students who are finishing their A-Levels to begin a career in Quantity Surveying or Estimating. We are offering a fully funded part-time degree in Quantity Surveying or Estimating worth £27,000 at Anglia Ruskin University combined with on the job learning and a competitive salary.
What is a Quantity Surveyor?
A Quantity Surveyor manages all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects from initial calculations to the final figures. Quantity Surveyors keep track of any variations to the project that may affect costs. Quantity Surveying offers a rewarding and varied career working both in the office and out on site, dealing with clients and subcontractors. If you have an aptitude for maths, are
well organised with a positive, can do' attitude, this could be the career for you!
What is an Estimator?
An Estimator is responsible for pricing tenders and estimates how much a project is likely to cost, creating a budget accordingly. The role involves assessing material, labour and plant equipment required, analysing different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers together with presenting to clients.
What we are looking for
We are looking for candidates who are keen to learn, reliable, punctual and hardworking with a personal drive for learning and development.
• 5 GCSE grade A - C including Maths and English
• 112 UCAS tariff points. This is the equivalent to 3 A levels at grade BBC
• A real drive for learning and development
