Director of Operations
TriConnex is a fast growing independent multi - utility connections provider, with an enviable client base of Blue-chip residential developers. We are an ambitious, people orientated, aspirational organisation with a strong focus on leadership and development. We are looking for someone special to join the senior management team, based at our offices in Braintree. You will have overall responsibility for company wide operations bringing operational, commercial and strategic vision and expertise. Leading, developing and inspiring individuals and teams is instrumental to this position to deliver our future growth ambitions and objectives.
·Lead the company-wide Operations team and be accountable for site construction, project management, engineering support and planning for successful delivery of gas, electric, water and fibre infrastructure.
·As a member of the senior management team you will contribute to the development of company strategy and to the Business Plan.
·Implement and oversee policies, processes, procedures and risk management for the Operations function.
·Ensure Asset is constructed in line with network standards and overseeing submission of information in line with IDNO, DNO, IGT, GT and other regulatory bodies' standards.
·Ensure that work planning and delivery optimises the profitability of schemes.
·Exhibit the company approach to customer service and influence this with the team and to key stakeholders.
·Develop and maintain best of breed relationships with clients, asset owners, partners and subcontractors.
·Actively seek improvements within the team to ensure connections on time every time.
·Recruit, manage, develop and motivate the team to achieve agreed targets.
·Ensure competency of team members, partners, designers and subcontractors.
·Set budget, monitor and deliver in line with business objectives and plan.
·Lead by example in regards to Company health and safety compliance in all aspects of operations ensuring that safe working practices are in place and being adhered to.
·Work closely with peers to ensure effective scheme handover processes.
Experience and attributes;
·Experience working at Director / Senior Manager level within a similar organisation
·Skilled in the successful management, supervision and overseeign the delivery of multiple utility projects.
·Expert knowledge of the residential developer infrastructure market.
·In-depth and strategic operations and commercial knowledge.
·Working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to Electricity, Gas, Water and Fibre Distribution.
·Exceptional leadership, motivational and people skills with experience of successful change management.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at various levels building strong, compelling relationships.
·Technical and managerial qualifications or memberships commensurate with the position.
·25 days holiday plus bank holidays
